Every month Freedom Flowers sends out a goodie box to the Times and Seasons Healing Box Club subscribers. Each month has it's specific purposes, that are more easily accomplished during that time than others. The idea is that when we follow the schedule God laid out in the stars, freedom in certain areas comes easier, and there are specific blessings to take advantage of. There are special things God wants to bring forth in our lives every month that will propel us forward into our destiny!
You, of course don't need a subscription box to make use of these principles. Knowledge is power, and flower power just makes things a little easier! The following is an excerpt from the letter inside our subscribers box, so that you can be intentional about getting everything you can out of this month!
Activate and guard your spiritual sight
The spiritual sense associated with the month of Tammuz is sight. I know you guys are all gonna love this one. Queen Anne's Lace and Hawkweed go together to amplify your spiritual vision. What you see and the way that you see it will be important. This is about seeing not only prophetically, but seeing the good in every situation and in every person, therefore, you're also getting a helping of positivity via Bluebell.
Avoid your old coping methods
Tammuz contains the potential to be a time of enormous blessing. The trick here is to not forget your Source. This is a time to resist falling back into old belief systems or methods of dealing. We have some choices to make this month, and while we always think we want more of God and want to bust through our former boundaries, we also love control and familiarity. We would generally never admit it, but it's more comfortable for us to make Him smaller than to work on enlarging our capacity.
Where we had left off last month, Moses had gone up the mountain on the 7th of Sivan and was getting the Torah, with the "do not cross" tape at the bottom. He had to spend the next 40 days up there getting the full revelation.
The people waited, and due to a miscommunication thought he should be due back on the 16th of Tammuz. When he wasn't, panic set in that they were suddenly leaderless, and Moses probably burned to a crisp up there, or as the Talmud put it, "Satan showed them Moses, dead lying on a bier."
Their journey had been fueled by Moses' inspiration, vision and the miracles he brought about. Without their leader they felt doomed to die in the desert.
Moses had left Aaron in charge and the people demanded that he make them a god to follow. They had come out of Egyptian society, this new God was one they were just getting to know. They were used to having a visual representation, something Moses' God didn't comply with. In short, they defaulted to what they were comfortable with in the crisis.
In our lives, that can take on myriad forms. What is your default when things look bad? What kind of actions do you take when you lose your trust in your Source?
I think I work harder. I might trust money to take care of me, so I do what I have to to get more of it. We can also get a little too reliant on the people in our lives. Especially any type of spiritual leader. We have to, this month more than ever, hold fast to faith. I’m adding in California Poppy for those reasons, to find our own meaningful heart connection with God rather than through a middle man, or trying to navigate around the idea of true relationship entirely.
On the 17th of Tammuz, what should have been the ultimate paradigm shift and clear route to the promised land was smashed into bits because of idolatry. Various patterns of idolatry have followed on Tammuz's since. Does that mean we're in a bad month? Hardly! But it is a month of challenge, confrontation, and extremes, and not one where you can pick the middle of the road.
Don't give place to fear
This month, be acutely aware of any fear scenarios playing in your head. I'll have some Yellow Monkey Flower, Thimbleberry and Russian Sage in your combo for you. How we view our circumstances will determine whether we enter God's promises or do another cycle of desert wandering. Stop and use your spiritual sight to SEE what's really going on.
The tribe associated with Tammuz is Reuben, which again means "to see" and Rueben's tribal stone is the ruby! Enjoy your necklace! See ya in Av!
Want in on this?
You get a heads up every month on what's in store, a bottle of flower essences to help you make the most of it, usually enough that you can share with a family member and a piece of jewelry. It's too late to get the July/Tammuz box, but we can get on the list for August! More info here.
