Adrenal fatigue has really gotten to be a thing in today's society. We have jam packed lives, and most of us run on caffeine or other pick-me-ups to compensate for low energy and lack of sleep. Long term, we pay a price, sometimes in the form of adrenal fatigue.
Your adrenals are your stress-coping organs, responsible for over 50 different hormones that are essential for life. As you might imagine, that makes their functionality pretty important for you to keep doing all that you do. Adrenal fatigue can show up in a myriad of ways. Fatigue, (obviously) dizziness, increased allergies, low immune function, brain fog, anxiety, anger, and depression. And while you can be dead tired, you still need a little bit of adrenaline to fall asleep, and if you can't muster that up, you have insomnia, which is a bad catch-22.
We've had people talk about using Ignite when they have had to quit all stimulants such as coffee to heal from adrenal fatigue. Ignite feels a bit like caffeine. While essences are neither stimulants nor sedatives per se, Ignite isn't always the healthiest choice. If you don't have adrenal fatigue as an underlying health issue, using Ignite to get going and make things happen is fine for the majority of us.
It's fine for the above poster, and I think you can see why it isn't for adrenal fatigue sufferers.
With adrenal fatigue, either there was external pressure causing you chronic stress until you collapsed under the weight of giving it your all for a very long time; or you created the pressure yourself. Either way, how you got there needs an honest pondering and lifestyle change.
You have to take yourself out of the abusive situation whether you are the abuser, or you went along with the external pressure. Ignite in this situation is more of an enabler, helping you to keep pushing.
There might be days where Ignite is nice to have, but ultimately, you do need to rest. Probably for a much longer period than is comfortable for you. You also need an original plan for going forward.
We like Rest Stone in this case, but if you're not in a situation where you can rest, you can use Stress Less while you figure out how to change that. Either way, an honest look at potential deeper issues is the real fix. Why are you so driven? What needs to heal?
We have blends for those emotions listed above that manifest with adrenal fatigue, but those emotions are just symptoms. They are not the real issue.
Is it perfectionism rather than high achieving? Do you need to be seen a certain way? As successful? Having it all together? Did your parents put a lot of pressure on you and now it's habit for you to maintain the pressure? Is it fear of not being or not having enough? Would you lose people in your life if you weren't _________?
You won't really heal until you can answer this question and address the issue.
