Surviving Christmas

It's supposed to be "the most wonderful time of the year" but with as many opportunities as there are to appreciate the season, there are just as many reasons it can be a struggle.  "Surviving Christmas" has become my annual December goal that I find echoing out of my mouth when people ask what I'm up to, or what my plans are.

There are many reasons why this is a hard time, and there are flower essence helpers for whatever your issue is. Let's look at a few of them.

It's dark, cold and gloomy.

Seasonal Affective Disorder hits some of us harder than others. St John's Wort flower essence, the Tomorrow or Joy blends, Vitamin D3 and a light box are some things to help make your season bright. Check out this older blog post I wrote on S.A.D.

The people who are supposed to be there, aren't there.

They don't have to be dead for you to use Good Grief, and odds are, you're not the only

one feeling their loss and you can pass the bottle.  If you're the one separated, try some Bravely You with your Good Grief to be open to finding family where you are. It isn't always blood.

Family is the problem.

Depending on your circumstances, we have Anger Management, Stay Calm, Peace, Bravely You and Confidence

You work retail, UPS, USPS or Fed-Ex.

Stress Less and Joy might be helpful during the day, as well as Carnelian to keep your energy up. At night you might need some Align and Peaceful Sleep so you can rest and heal before you're back at it.

You get bad gifts.

This sounds petty, but it isn't necessarily. If know you are too materialistic that's one thing, and you need some California Poppy, but maybe you get heartbroken when the people closest to you seem to not know you at all. As you open each box the body of tangible proof grows...

At this point in the game, all you can do is the Joy blend to rustle up as much gratitude and humor as you can. A preemptive strike would be using things like Trumpet Vine or Bravely You to enlarge your outward personality to others beforehand over time.  You're likely deep and hard to really know.

The pressure of it all.

Maintaining traditions, baking all those cookies, wrapping the presents, it's a lot to do. New moms, be careful what precedents you're setting, for what you do is likely to become a family tradition.

We can step out from under all that and say no, and if you feel guilty or ashamed, there's Hyssop, and Bravely You is good at helping you break out of expectations. If these things actually do bring you joy, it's just a lot, then M&M or Ignite are good choices to help you get it done.

Holidays are hard, but essences can make them a little easier. Many of the above are available in sample size for the skeptical among us.

Seneca

Founder of Freedom Flowers, Seneca has a strong understanding of frequencies found in nature and how they bring healing to the spiritual, emotional and thus, the physical body. She understands that humanity often shuts down in defense of pain or violation, and she knows what to offer to “unlock” areas that have become dormant over time. Seneca has a burning desire to bring healing to our issues in a gentle and natural way.
